IBPS RRB 2016 Eligibility Criteria (Read Full Details)

Educational Qualification:

  • For Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • For Officer Scale-1: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • For Officer Scale-2 (General Banking Officer): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent. And 2 years experience as an officer in a bank or financial institution.
  • For Officer Scale-2 (Specialist Officer): Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication or Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognised University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent. And also need some relevant experience.
  • For Officer Scale-3: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent. And minimum 5 years experience as an officer in a bank or financial institutions.

Age Limit:

  • Officer Scale-1: Min 18 years and Max 30 years
  • Officer Scale-2: Min 21 years and Max 32 years
  • Officer Scale-3: Min 21 years and Max 40 years
  • Office Assistant: Min 18 years and Max 28 years

IBPS RRB 2016 Application Form (Read Full Details)

IBPS RRB application form will be available on IBPS website. IBPS will not accept any offline or physical submission of the application form, so candidates need to fill their application form thru online mode only.

Application Fee:

Candidate can pay application fee thru online mode only using net banking or any credit/debit cards. Application fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs. 600 and application fee for SC, ST, PwD and Ex-S candidates is Rs. 100.

Exam Pattern for Office Assistant (Multipurpose)

Preliminary Exam:

  • Preliminary exam will be objective type and will be conducted online.
  • The question paper will have 80 questions for 80 marks and contains 2 sections namely (1) Reasoning (2) Numerical Ability.
  • Time allotted for the exam is 45 minutes.
  • There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. If a question left blank, there will be no negative marking for that question.

Main Exam:

  • Main exam will be objective type and will be conducted online.
  • The question paper will have 200 questions for 200 marks and contains 5 sections namely (1) Reasoning, (2) Numerical Ability, (3) General Awareness, (4) English & Hindi Language, (5) Computer Knowledge.
  • Time allotted for the exam is 2 hours.
  • There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. If a question left blank, there will be no negative marking for that question.

  • Time allotted for the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes.
  • There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. If a question left blank, there will be no negative marking for that question.

Interview: Those candidates who qualify the written exam will be called for the interview round. The total marks allotted for interview is 100 marks.

IBPS RRB 2016 Admit Card (Read Full Details)

IBPS will issue RRB admit card for officer scale-1, 2, 3 and office assistant (multipurpose); admit card will be available at IBPS official website. IBPS will not send admit card by post, so candidates need to download their admit card online. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination centre without the valid admit card.
